My mom does not have a lot of money, but I feel assisted living would benefit her greatly. Are there any options?

While finances might limit your options, rest assured that I am always searching for homes that are affordable while meeting my strict guidelines. If sufficient funds are not available, it is possible to apply for help from the government. Please be aware, however, that at this time, Medicaid does not pay for assisted living in New York State. There are certain Assisted Living Programs (ALP's) which may be covered under Medicaid. Still, you can benefit from the abundance of assisted living facilities forcing them to be more competitive in their pricing.
